Privacy policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Name Wave (name-wave.com) doesn't have accounts and doesn't ask for your name or email. This page explains the little data that is involved and the choices you have.

Your game progress stays on your device

Your guesses, streak and statistics are saved in your browser's local storage so the game remembers them the next time you visit. They never leave your device, and we can't see them. This storage is strictly necessary for the game to work. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Advertising

Name Wave is free because it shows ads. Ads are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, to measure them and, with your consent where the law requires it, to personalize them based on your visits to this and other websites.

• Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
• Turn personalized ads from Google off or on: adssettings.google.com
• Learn about opting out of personalized ads from other companies: aboutads.info/choices

Visitors in the EU, the UK and Switzerland

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you'll see a consent message from Google, a Google-certified consent management platform, before any personalized ads are shown. You can accept, reject or choose specific purposes. You can change your choice at any time with the "Privacy settings" link at the bottom of every page. If you don't consent, you may still see non-personalized ads, which may still use cookies for things like limiting how often you see an ad and preventing fraud.

Visitors in US states with privacy laws

If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising through the message Google shows on this site, or through the "Privacy settings" link at the bottom of every page.

Hosting and statistics

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across sites.

Children

Name Wave is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
